Join our Board of Directors!

Looking to really get your hands MUDdy? Join the MUD Board of Directors! Whether you like playing in the dirt, planning events, working behind the scenes, or just want to learn more about the ins and outs of the tool library, we could use your help. Board members usually volunteer 5 to 10 hours per month and will help guide MUD into its next decade of providing tools and skills to the Missoula community. Internships and Volunteer Opportunities

MUD is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers and interns. Whether you would like to instruct a workshop, repair tools, help with events, or tend to our urban gardens, MUD has a place for you. If you would like to donate your time and skills empowering people to live more sustainably, please get in touch at info@mudproject.org.


Tool Librarian Volunteer

Assist the Tool Librarians with tool maintenance, record keeping, and also work to maintain our demonstrations site. Site maintenance may include landscaping, heavy lifting, and carpentry among other things. Tool library hours are Monday and Friday 4-7 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm. Interested? Tool Doctor Volunteer

Assist the Tool Librarians with tool maintenance including small engine repair, tool sharpening, tool repair, and general upkeep. Interested? Check out the full description here and email your resume or a brief letter of interest to christian@mudproject.org.

Education Volunteer

We are currently looking for extra help with some of our educational projects including creating informational handouts for a variety of tools, improving tool library signage, creating instructional videos, assisting with tool demonstration events, and helping plan and attend community events.
