Women-Led Carpentry Tools Intro Series
May 6 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join artist and educator Sally Rodriguez for this DIY intro to carpentry tools. With a passion for empowering people to enrich their own lives through DIY self-sustainability, Sally has applied her wide range of carpentry and artistic skills to educating others through youth and adult classes. Our first workshop on May 6 will be an introduction to common carpentry tools and safety and can be taken as a stand alone workshop or as part of the series. In workshops II (May 13) and III (May 20), you’ll start and work on your own project with guidance from Sally and our workshop assistant Tool Librarian Heather Graham. Those familiar and comfortable with common carpentry tools (power sander, miter saw, power drill, table saw, nail gun, etc.) are welcome to join us for workshops II and III only.
**Please note: While these workshops were requested by female MUD members and have been tailored to be an inclusive women-oriented series, all gender identities are welcome.
$15 per workshop for MUD members
$30 per workshop for non-members
*Sign up early for the complete 3-part series and save! $40 MUD Members and $80 nonmembers if you register by May 1st.
