Hand Tool Restoration: Family Friendly Workshop
June 17, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Event Navigation
This June, join MUD and the Moon-Randolph Homestead in two family friendly workshops: Backyard Chicken Care (June 10) & Hand Tool Restoration (June 17).
Montana Conservation Corps’ Crew Leaders will teach the basics of sharpening, rehandling, and caring for your old hand tools. Whether it’s shovels, picks, axes, you name it, we can give your tools a little love. We hope to restore some of the Moon-Randolph’s old tools and MUD’s Tool Library inventory, so you can still join in and learn even if you don’t have your own tools to bring. Sometimes practice on someone else’s tool is a good way to get your sharpening skills, well, sharpened up. Take advantage of this pre-Father’s Day workshop to spend time with Dad or get a tool in good condition for him. Please bring water for yourself, gloves (if you have them), and be prepared to be outside!
Join us at the Moon-Randolph Homestead. Since parking can be tricky, please pre-register by signing up online. Proceeds from these workshops will support the Moon-Randolph Homestead site improvements and the MUD Tool Library. For more information contact info@mudproject.org.
